02 / MORE THAN A NUMBER

Information.
In context.

Your results are one part of your health story.

The clinic considers relevant blood results alongside your symptoms, history and goals. A result on its own does not decide whether treatment is appropriate.

01

Understand what’s measured.

Explore hormone tests, full blood count, lipids and liver function through the marker explorer above.

02

See the wider picture.

Your assessment gives the clinic context that a blood result alone cannot provide.

03

Discuss what comes next.

Clinical review helps inform the next conversation. Consultation and treatment are separate from purchasing blood tests.

Panel inclusions vary by collection option. HbA1c is listed in the ACL option only. Review the provider’s current inclusions before purchasing.

06 / BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Your questions.
Answered.

Can I use blood results I already have?

The clinic can review extensive results from within 8 weeks and advise whether further tests are needed. Contact the clinic before purchasing again.

What if there isn’t an ACL centre near me?

Broaden the search radius or use the alternative collection option in the blood-test pop-up. Confirm the provider’s participating centres and referral acceptance before paying.

Do the collection options include the same tests?

Inclusions differ. HbA1c is listed in the ACL option only. Check the selected provider’s current test list before purchasing.

Does buying blood work book a consultation?

No. Blood-test purchase, clinical consultation and any treatment are separate steps. The clinic can explain the next step once your assessment and relevant results are available.

What happens after I pay?

Follow Bloody Good Tests’ confirmation, referral and preparation instructions. Contact the provider if you need help with your order, and the clinic about assessment and clinical review.

What do blood
tests measure?

Different markers. One fuller picture.

Blood tests provide different kinds of information. Your clinician considers relevant results alongside how you feel, your history and your goals.

Hormones

Testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG, oestradiol, progesterone, FSH, LH, prolactin and DHEAS

Considered alongside your symptoms, health history and individual circumstances.

Stress and growth

Cortisol, growth hormone and IGF-1

Adds context to energy, sleep, stress and recovery.

Metabolic health

Fasting glucose, insulin, HbA1c and lipid studies including HDL

Adds context to how your body handles fuel and to longer-term health. HbA1c is included in the ACL collection option.

Liver and kidneys

Liver function test (LFT) and electrolytes, urea and creatinine (EUC)

Provides information about organ function as part of a broader clinical review.

Blood and inflammation

Full blood count (FBC) and hs-CRP

Information about your blood cells, and a general inflammatory marker, interpreted alongside other clinical information.

Minerals

Magnesium

Considered alongside your symptoms and history where relevant.

These are the tests in the Alpha One Panel, as listed by the provider. HbA1c is included in the Australian Clinical Labs option only. Your clinician explains what your own results mean.
